When the Democrats took over Congress in 2006, paving the way for the triumphal entry of Barack Obama, a shiver ran down the spines of conservatives across the country. For six years, Democrats had perfected the politics of personal attack, demonizing Bush and Republicans daily, relying on misrepresentations damaging to the country.  A complicit media was glad to assist, and too many voters succumbed to the seductive voice of the serpent.

Leading up to the 2008 election, many voices warned that it would be a serious mistake putting an unknown and unqualified individual in the White House.  Many others pointed out his radical background, his questionable connections to violent radicalism, and his glaring anti-Americanism. These prophetic voices were marginalized with charges of racism; and again, the media cooperated with a global effort to herald a new deliverer.  The Chicago machine had become an international juggernaut funded by foreigners.

After the election came the blitzkrieg: czars, expanded bureaucracy, legislative snowstorms, executive orders, insane spending, etc. In short, radicalization on every front, hope and change turning to fundamental transformation, with the Constitution and economic freedom squarely in the crosshairs.

Enemies of the state were identified, pressed, squeezed, and isolated for ridicule.  The first to feel the full brunt of the Thug Brigade: Sarah Palin.  When the Tea Party hit the streets in 2009 calling only for financial responsibility in government and respect for the Constitution, the Thug Brigade was deployed with the help of the MSM, attacking viciously again with accusations of racism.

The net result: deeping divisions, rancor, economic devastation—all the tools of Marxists for 100 years used to demoralize and conquer from within.

Had it not been for alternative media like Fox, talk radio, conservative publications, and a growing army of citizen activists online, the juggernaut would have entirely overwhelmed traditional Americanism.  As it was, alternative voices were not enough to overcome the juggernaut in 2012, although retaining the House in 2010 (thanks to the Tea Party) at least demonstrated the Founders’ wisdom in installing a system of checks to thwart the ambitions of tyrants.

And now what was predicted is coming true: when you elect corrupt incompetence, (surprise!) you get corruption and incompetence.  The short list of scandals is sufficient to end this nightmare via resignation or impeachment, assuming Republicans don’t fumble the ball: Benghazi, SEAL Team Six, IRS, AP, Fast & Furious, Boston Bombing, EPA, election fraud, Obama’s records, corruption in DOJ, and ObamaCare.  (Did we mention bankruptcy, collapse of the dollar, and escalations by enemies abroad and at home?  Stay tuned.)

Matters have so deteriorated that even the MSM has started seeing the light; and some Democrats have entered the CYA zone, fearing voter reprisals in 2014.

It is now up to public officials, patriots, and alternative media to keep the issues on the table and proceed with formal, criminal investigations, following evidence wherever it leads, even if it leads into the Oval Office.  As Marco Rubio pointed out recently, at the very least, this President has created an atmosphere encouraging IRS criminality; and according to Obama’s own words, he is responsible.  When your ‘leadership’ is nothing more than a revenge campaign, it is no wonder chaos ensues.

Finally, it is hoped that citizens will learn the central lesson here, articulated by Plato 2,400 years ago:

“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”

Saul Alinsky tactics are on full display and now the American public will understand who and what President Obama is…a far left  radical employing Alinsky tactics of intimidation and division to RULE over America.

For all of those Obamamaniacs out there, it appears that all of us wacky conservatives are being proven accurate in our description of Obama as the most divisive president in history; so much so that our characterization of Obama’s behavior as “gangsta government” is now being shown as completely accurate.

Conservatives for years have warned how Obama uses divisive Saul Alinsky tactics to target and destroy anyone or organization that would challenge his administration. From Obama exhorting Hispanics to get out there and “attack our enemies”, to saying Republicans needed to go to the back of the bus; to attacking conservative talk radio and Fox news;  to Joe Biden characterizing Tea Party and Christians as terrorist ; to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)  report placing Christians, survivalist and Tea Party Patriots as terrorist, it is stunningly clear that Obama has taken partisanship to a new all-time low and that the media’s portrayal of Obama as a uniter is just plain out wrong.

In addition to all of the above we now learn that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intentionally targeted conservatives and “right wingers” for special investigating and general harassment. This morning I’m finding it amazing how liberal pundits, especially on  MSNBC, are now decrying the scandalous IRS efforts to target conservatives. Chuck Todd, of MSNBC, just lamented how more Democrats should be speaking out against the IRS’ actions because the actions are threats to all Americans not just conservatives. While I certainly welcome Mr. Todd’s statements I would find them more credible if he and his network had not spent the last six years advocating and protecting the very administration that now brings us the IRS and Benghazi scandals. In fact, it was the mainstream media’s refusal to vet Obama and to hold him accountable for so many questionable acts (e.g. Fast and Furious), prior to and since becoming president, that allowed Obama to create the type of atmosphere which is now manifesting itself in the newest scandals, Benghazi and the IRS.

As the MSM whines about the latest Obama scandal it seems they are, again, missing the point. While they attempt to circle the wagons around Obama in yet another attempt to protect him, the fact of the matter is that the latest scandals are only a manifestation of the type of environment Obama has created since becoming president.  Let there be no mistake about it, the only reason that the Benghazi and the IRS actions were made is because top administrators at these and other organizations believed they were advancing the interests of the Obama Administration and that they could take these actions, with either direct or tacit approval, with impunity and without the fear of ever being held accountable.  We have an administration, the Obama Administration, that has set a tone of divisiveness, partisanship and corruption which emboldens lower rungs on the ladder to engage in the types of actions we see occurring in Benghazi and now the IRS.

I still recall the long months of the Watergate scandal that began with a botched break-in of the Democratic Party headquarters in Washington, D.C. on June 17, 1972. It was directed by a group of presidential operatives dubbed the “plumbers” inside the White House. No one died, but a number of the operatives, including the Attorney General, John Mitchell, went to jail!

As always, it is not the crime, but the cover-up that brought down the Nixon presidency. It was the testimony of John Dean III, a top aide to Nixon, who revealed the extent of the corruption that existed and Nixon’s complicity.

The initial revelations and subsequent congressional investigations did not lead to a swift application of the law. Indeed, it would not be until August 9, 1974 that Nixon would resign, the first and only President to do so.

Two years would pass and, if one applies this to the Obama presidency, that means he has some twenty-four months left in office, a period of time in which he can do a lot of damage, assuming events play out as they did in the 1970s. Obama’s conduct of the presidency is a stain on the office at this point and his personal conduct an insult to Americans struggling to find work, pay their mortgages, put their children through college, and maintain any faith in their government.

At this writing, there is no way to know what revelations will occur during Wednesday’s congressional committee hearing on the events surrounding the Benghazi attack that led to the assassination of a U.S. ambassador and the three security personnel who gave their lives in the effort to save him.

What is known is that neither the State Department led by then-Secretary of State Clinton, nor the White House did anything to protect the Libyan embassy, consulate, and ambassador prior to or during the attack. This is a serious dereliction of duty, particularly by the Commander-in-Chief who retired to bed after being informed of the attack and then flew off to a fundraising event the following day.

Unlike Watergate, four Americans died. That is very serious, but the White House has devoted the months since September 12, 2012 to an effort to distract our attention from that fact.

When the White House press secretary, Jay Carney, can dismiss the attack as something that happened “a long time ago” you get a very clear insight regarding either his insipid stupidity or a deliberate effort to stonewall reporter’s questions, or both. In testimony before Congress, Clinton may well have committed perjury. At the very least, “What difference does it make?” displayed a level of indifference that is appalling.

Most certainly, with the exception of Fox News and a handful of others, the lap dog journalists that cover the White House have done their best to avoid the obvious. Indeed, was it not for the on-going investigative work of Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of the Washington Post, the Watergate scandal might have been swept under the rug.

On May 4 Roger Simon, a political columnist for Politico.com, reminded readers that, on October 27. 2012, he asked, “If Barack Obama is reelected, will he face impeachment over Benghazi—a yet more unpleasant and far more wrenching result than to lose an election?”

“It could happen—and in my estimation should happen—the way revelations are playing out over the bloody terror attack that took four American lives and has led to weeks of prevarication and obfuscation.” In Simon’s opinion, “Barack Obama is bloody lucky he’s a Democrat, because if he were a Republican, he’d been in deep trouble right now, close to the brink of extinction. Only his increasingly pathetic loyal media clique can save him. It will be interesting to see if they do so at the expense of their own reputations.”

If history is any guide, those who will testify at the congressional committee hearing now and subsequent ones to occur, will lay the blame at the door of the Oval Office, the Department of State, and even Defense.

There is a lot of malfeasance and misfeasance to go around. Recall that the President, Secretary of State Clinton, and the Ambassador to the UN, were all complicit in spreading the boldfaced lie that the attack was not orchestrated by al Qaeda—on the anniversary of 9/11—but was the result of a video that was alleged to inflame the anger of Islamic terrorists.

I doubt that anyone in the CIA and other agencies of government wants to go to jail for Barack Obama or Clinton.

We are, I suspect, going to repeat a new version of the Watergate scandal and, if Congress and the courts rise to the occasion, we may well have seen the last of Barack Obama as President of the United States of America.

If the black community ever decides that it wants to change its’ downward trajectory of   crime, drugs, poverty, debased morality and general sense of hopelessness then it will have to begin with first identifying the problem and embracing a sincere desire to fix it.  One of if not the major problem in the black community is it’s so called black leaders, especially those national organizations that purport to advance black interests. The NAACP, National Urban League and the Congressional Black Caucus all present themselves as advocates for raising  conditions in the black community; conditions that supposedly will address issues like jobs, poverty, healthcare and economic empowerment. The reality is that these organizations have one interest and one interest only, securing money and power for their own self- aggrandizement.

Sadly, these organizations have betrayed the black community because they have in fact acquired power and money on the backs of blacks including black babies. Yet….yet, the black community continues to support these organizations because they choose to cling to the storied past of these groups when in reality the moral high ground that they once occupied has long since given way to greed, corruption and immorality. No greater betrayal by the NAACP, Urban League and the Congressional Black Caucus of black interest exist than that seen in their support for an organization and idea that literally is creating genocide in the black community; that organization is Planned Parenthood and the idea is supposed “female empowerment”.

Civil Rights Gone Wrong: The NAACP’s Long Pro-Abortion History

Who would have imagined a world where the nation’s largest black civil rights groups would partner with the one organization that destroys innocent life for a profit? Who would have envisioned an alliance between those who’ve fought for the humanity of an oppressed people and an industry that engages in the ultimate form of oppression—the killing of defenseless human beings?

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. The Urban League. The Congressional Black Caucus. These are organizations whose history has shown that black Americans can rise, can be empowered, and can achieve great things. These are also organizations that have offered their souls to a self-anointed savior with empty promises of birth control, reduced poverty, “healthcare” and “reproductive freedom.”

How can we rise if our future is flushed down the drain? And we mean, literally, flushed down the drain. Over 1,000 times a day, the body parts of black babies are torn from their mother’s womb, ground in garbage disposals and washed away like sewage. This is the reality of “choice” that often scares women away from any other option that doesn’t end in death. Despite the reality that more black babies are aborted than born alive in NYC (although all abortions are a tragedy), the nation’s largest black “civil rights” groups have done nothing to address this epidemic. Live Action and Lila Rose have exposed the seedy actions of abortionists and Planned Parenthood, specifically, for years in video stings that prove an industry that accepts racist donations for black abortions, protects sex traffickers, grossly misinforms pregnant mothers about prenatal development and practices infanticide.

Even when presented the most grisly of violence against the most marginalized minorities–the unborn–these former civil rights champions refuse to fight for what’s right. Serial killer and abortionist Kermit Gosnell gave his clean abortion room to white patients and the filthy ones to blacks and other minorities. If Gosnell were a hotel owner these “civil rights” groups would have held press conferences and demanded action.

But they can’t speak out against an industry they, ironically, support.

Planned Parenthood has dominated the urban landscape since its own birth in eugenic racism, but rates of unintended pregnancies, STDs, fatherlessness, and abortion have only increased exponentially since Roe v. Wade. (The majority of Planned Parenthood’s abortion mills, 79%, are located in black and Hispanic neighborhoods as revealed in the latest comprehensive abortion facility study by ProtectingBlackLife.org). The Roe judicial opinion repeatedly invoked the 14th Amendment, the one that finally ascribed people of my complexion, full citizenship and humanity (at least on paper). Yet, these organizations stand with an industry that mocks civil rights history by allowing the same denial of humanity to be foisted upon another group of humans—the unborn and even those delivered alive.

How is it that these so-called “leaders” advocate the destruction of black life, the number one killer in the African-American community, and call it “Reproductive Freedom?” Most black “civil rights” groups speak of empowerment. Death doesn’t empower the black community. These groups decry health disparities. Yet, they ignore the most deadly one plaguing urban America—abortion. They bemoan “lack of access” to healthcare while ignoring the thousands of pregnancy care centers that offer free medical services and life-affirming resources to pregnant women. These groups speak of political influence through the power of the vote. Abortion has eliminated over 15 million black voters since 1973. That’s real voter suppression.

Each group is guilty of both silence and complicity. Each has its way of downplaying its alliance with Planned Parenthood to the public, but their tangled relationships are revealed in deeply troubling ways. The National Urban League (NUL) focuses mostly on two things: jobs and prison. Interestingly, jobs are far less likely for those without fathers in the home, and prison is far more likely for children without fathers in the home. But NUL doesn’t even mention ‘fathers’ or ‘dads’ one single time in their annual “State of Black America” manifesto. One of NUL’s executives, Jacqueline Ayers, is simultaneously the Legislative Director of Health and Education Policy at National Urban League andthe Director of Legislative Affairs for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. This entanglement may explain why the Madison, Wisconsin Urban League-owned building also leases space to none other than the state’s largest abortion chain, Planned Parenthood (see pic to the right).

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is staunchly pro-abortion. The Chairman of the CBC, Representative Emanuel Cleaver, was recently given the annual Margaret Sanger Award, which is Planned Parenthood’s highest “honor” for promoting abortion. Reverend Cleaver, before running for federal office, used to be pro-life and served as an advisor for Missouri Citizens for Life. Last summer, pro-life advocate Catherine Davis asked Representative Cleaver, during a 2012 Capitol Hill Summit on issues facing black Americans, if he’d address the issue of abortion in the Congressional Black Caucus. Predictably, he said “no.”

The NAACP. The nation’s oldest civil rights organization claims it has not taken a position on abortion—a false assertion repeated numerous times by its Vice President of Advocacy, Hilary Shelton. Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain has been a corporate sponsor of the NAACP’s annual conventions. The NAACP has not only taken a position on abortion, they’ve taken the abortion giant’s money for financial gain. (It’s important to note that the millions of dollars Planned Parenthood uses to market itself, as in Corporate Sponsorships, are made possible by the yearly $542.4 million taxpayer dollars that feed the abortion chain’s annual one billion dollar budget). The Radiance Foundation has written numerous articles about the NAACP’s actual and provable advocacy of abortionhere, here, here, and here. We’ve even created a factsheet to detail the NAACP’s “non-position” on abortion, called You Decide. In fact, our expressions of the NAACP’s pro-abortion actions have led to the NAACP’s threat to sue The Radiance Foundation, our refusal to withdraw anything we’ve written, and the current lawsuit with the NAACP over “trademark infringement” and “trademark dilution.” The facts of that case and court documentation can be foundhere.

There are black leaders across this country who refuse to bow to mainstream “civil rights” groups’ refusal to protect Life at its most vulnerable. Leaders like Dr. Alveda King (King for America), Star Parker (Urban C.U.R.E.), Rev. Dean Nelson (CareNet), Rev. Arnold Culbreath (Protecting Black Life),Catherine Davis (Restoration Project), Rev. Johnny Hunter (L.E.A.R.N.), Pastor Stephen Broden (Life Always), Rev. Walter Hoye (Issues4Life Foundation), Dr. La Verne Tolbert (Teaching Like Jesus), Dr. Freda Bush (Strategic Cultural Initiative), Dr. Timothy Johnson (The Frederick Douglass Foundation), Day Gardner (Nat’l Black Prolife Union),  Bishop Harry Jackson (Hope Christian Church), Voddie Baucham (Grace Family Baptist Church), the National Black Prolife Coalition and many more who fight for life inside and outside of the womb.

It’s no surprise that so-called black “leaders” help to further the abortion-centered mission of Planned Parenthood. It became a reality with Planned Parenthood’s launch of the Negro Project, using prominent blacks to promote a deeply racist eugenics agenda. As part of this effort to “severely reduce” or “eliminate” the birth rate of poorer blacks, Dr. Dorothy Ferebee (member of the Advisory Council for the Birth Control Federation of America, now Planned Parenthood) echoed the exact eugenic sentiments that are used, with minor semantic changes, today: “The future program should center around more education in the field through the work of a professional Negro worker, because those of us who believe that the benefits of planned parenthood as a vital key to theelimination of human waste must reach the entire population, also believe that a double effort must be made to extend this program as a public health measure to Negroes whose need is proportionately greater.”

Dr. Dorothy Ferebee was black and advocated for an organization rife with pseudoscientific racism, elitism, hatred of Christianity and unapologetic population control. Some things never change.

Perhaps you didn’t know it. I am the biggest Rifleman fan on earth. Every Saturday morning I wake up to the thrill of two hours of back to back to back to back Rifleman shows on my local broadcast station. On non-Saturdays I watch the same re-runs on my Roku internet TV system.  O.k…..I’m obsessed with the Rifleman. For one thing it takes me back to my childhood when TV shows had a great moral theme to them. There was a lack of gratuitous violence and Lucas (Luke) McCain only used his rifle to protect the innocent and to bring about justice. In fact, in any of his episodes when the villain would mention that he was aware of Lucas’ prowess with the rifle, Lucas always humbly dismissed the accolade with a retort like “I can handle myself”.

Yes, the Rifleman represents what is/was good about America until liberalism and progressivism infiltrated our lives. Luke McCain was your prototypical American; strong, quiet, of high morals and always willing to help a neighbor. This past Saturday I continued my morning ritual by sitting down to feast on Lucas, Mark and Marshal Micah Torrance, however, this particular episode had a modern relevance for me.

Saturday’s episode was a story of friends of the McCains, Luke and his son Mark. It was a story about an old man who lived in what was at best a shack with his grandson. The old man was a strong independent person who believed in hard work and rugged individualism. He also did not believe in schools and opted to home school his grandson. On a visit by Mark and Luke to the friend’s home it was clearly evident that the old man loved his grandson and was doing his best to raise the boy in a way that would instill good values and strong character as well as learning the three “R”s…reading, righting and rithmetic.  Unfortunately, the old man was doing some things that others would find offensive then and certainly today. The old man lived with a pig in the house and he was teaching the boy how to read by using the bible. Clearly he was a perverted old bum…a precursor to today’s extreme right winged Christian Tea Party supporter.

Of course such poor parenting could not go unanswered. Enter the nosy busy body, you know the kind, the bleeding heart– know it all liberal/progressive of the day; the kind who knows best how a child should be raised. Well this “well intended” citizen insisted that the boy be removed from the grandfather’s home and raised in town thereby allowing the boy to get a “proper schooling” both academically and socially. Even then, during the formative years of our nation’s development, progressives were slithering about spreading their perverted sense of what they consider good, proper and necessary for a just society. Interestingly what we saw in this Rifleman episode is being played out in spades today in the U.S.; the issues of education (home schooling) and parental rights.

We recently reported on two programs now being implemented in school systems around the country.  Common Core and CScope are programs that arguably have at their core the advancement of principles and concepts that are more focused on promoting progressive political ideologies than developing critical thinking skills. The programs are appearing in primary and secondary schools. Moreover, to ensure all children, beginning as early as age 4, are presented with these concepts, President Obama has proposed federal funding to create preschools, stating as it purpose to “have all children prepared” for 21st century challenges.

These programs promote the concept that the “state” not parents is preeminent in the child’s life. They advance the notion of the collective or community not individualism, personal freedoms and responsibility. In effect, the programs celebrate dependency either on government or the goodness of others. These are not the values taught by the grandfather to his grandson. What we see in the grandfather is a proud man who understands the importance of being able to make it on your own; a quality that he intended to instill in his grandson, a quality that could only be accomplished if the grandson remained in the home. But his ability to do this was now being threatened. The grandfather’s parental rights were under assault much like what is happening today in America.

We all remember that gifted gabber from MSNBC, Melissa Harris Perry, who said that children did not belong to their parents; that they, kids, actually belonged to the community (state). I mean the old bat in North Fork, the one who wanted to remove the grandson from the home,   had all of the demented trappings of Melissa Harris Perry except for one clearly obvious omission, no speech impediment – lisps.

Ms. Harris’ comments reflect the beliefs of many progressives that children are best raised by the community and that this must be done for the betterment of the collective. It is this mentality that seems to permeate the Obama Administration and that we now see on display in any number of ways;  the most recent being actions by the Department of Justice to challenge the efforts of the Romeike family to remain in the U.S.

The Romeikes is a German family that immigrated to America in order to escape the German government’s threats to seize their children and force them to attend public schools and not be home schooled. The Department of Justice (DOJ) is aggressively challenging the Romeike family’s ability to remain in America.  The case is now on appeal in the federal court system.  In taking this action against the Romeikes, the DOJ in effect is challenging the rights of American families to home school their children. Much like in the Rifleman episode where do gooders, those attempting to remove the young boy from his grandfather and which for a time even included a misguided Luke McCain, failed to see is that the values being taught by the grandfather outweighed the less favorable physical conditions of the home. They failed to see the grandfather’s deep love for the grandson and how much this love was reciprocated.

Well as you might have guessed the story had a happy ending. After enduring several challenges the grandfather was allowed to keep his grandson and I suspect the boy grew up to become a staunch conservative; fighting against the evils of liberalism and progressivism.

I pray that America overcomes the liberals and progressives of our day and that we, too, get to have a happy ending…..a nation free of liberals.

A great man said recently that we are at a time in America where right is wrong and wrong is right. We are witnessing the Fundamental Transformation of America that President Barack Obama promised during his 2008 campaign. While this change did not begin with Obama’s election it has taken on an incredible light speed pace since his swearing in.

Few understood what then candidate Obama meant when he made this promise. As even the news media advanced, Obama was a clean slate upon which Americans etched their own ambitions, ideas, thoughts and dreams. But words have meaning and history now shows that more scrutiny should have been made regarding Obama’s true intentions.

History has shown that the true intention of leaders is often spoken by the leader and is in plain sight if the public cares to see. However, this truth is often muddled in people’s desires to see and hear only what is in their best interest or that fits their individual needs, wants and desires. Hitler was a prime example. Not only did he write a book of what he would do if he gained power, his intentions were found throughout his speeches as he rose to power.  If nothing else the signs of what Obama would do if elected were likewise found throughout his campaign.  Even the candidate’s wife, Michelle Obama, gave us a clue of what was in store for America if Obama was elected.  While on a campaign trip to Puerto Rico, Michelle told the crowd that to achieve Barack’s dream for America we would have to change our conversation and that we would have to change our history. What?  Change our history? To what?  Did the future first lady not know that history is a good thing? That smart people and smart countries learn from history. So why change it to run the risk of repeating it?

Our Founders came to America to escape tyranny. America was founded on individual liberty so it seems, then, that liberty and freedom is our history. Then to extend this logic, according to Barack and Michelle, we must alter this freedom in favor of tyranny?

Many conservatives would argue that the big government policies of the Obama Administration are in fact shifting our society towards massive government dependency; a dependency that will surely create a new type of tyranny; voluntary governmental servitude.

It is important that we not forget our history but it is equally important to be aware of forces that are actively underway to accomplish this very thing. Consider this one piece of history below as a clear indication that America is being “fundamentally transformed” and that it is being accomplished by the consciences decision of many to change our history.

I observed on one of the drums belonging to the marines now raising, there was painted a Rattle-Snake, with this modest motto under it, “Don’t tread on me.” As I know it is the custom to have some device on the arms of every country, I supposed this may have been intended for the arms of America; and as I have nothing to do with public affairs, and as my time is perfectly my own, in order to divert an idle hour, I sat down to guess what could have been intended by this uncommon device — I took care, however, to consult on this occasion a person who is acquainted with heraldry, from whom I learned, that it is a rule among the learned of that science “That the worthy properties of the animal, in the crest-born, shall be considered,” and, “That the base ones cannot have been intended;” he likewise informed me that the ancients considered the serpent as an emblem of wisdom, and in a certain attitude of endless duration – both which circumstances I suppose may have been had in view. Having gained this intelligence, and recollecting that countries are sometimes represented by animals peculiar to them, it occurred to me that the Rattle-Snake is found in no other quarter of the world besides America, and may therefore have been chosen, on that account, to represent her.

But then “the worldly properties” of a Snake I judged would be hard to point out. This rather raised than suppressed my curiosity, and having frequently seen the Rattle-Snake, I ran over in my mind every property by which she was distinguished, not only from other animals, but from those of the same genus or class of animals, endeavoring to fix some meaning to each, not wholly inconsistent with common sense.

I recollected that her eye excelled in brightness, that of any other animal, and that she has no eye-lids. She may therefore be esteemed an emblem of vigilance. She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage. As if anxious to prevent all pretensions of quarreling with her, the weapons with which nature has furnished her, she conceals in the roof of her mouth, so that, to those who are unacquainted with her, she appears to be a most defenseless animal; and even when those weapons are shown and extended for her defense, they appear weak and contemptible; but their wounds however small, are decisive and fatal. Conscious of this, she never wounds ’till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her.

Was I wrong, Sir, in thinking this a strong picture of the temper and conduct of America? The poison of her teeth is the necessary means of digesting her food, and at the same time is certain destruction to her enemies. This may be understood to intimate that those things which are destructive to our enemies, may be to us not only harmless, but absolutely necessary to our existence. I confess I was wholly at a loss what to make of the rattles, ’till I went back and counted them and found them just thirteen, exactly the number of the Colonies united in America; and I recollected too that this was the only part of the Snake which increased in numbers. Perhaps it might be only fancy, but, I conceited the painter had shown a half formed additional rattle, which, I suppose, may have been intended to represent the province of Canada.

‘Tis curious and amazing to observe how distinct and independent of each other the rattles of this animal are, and yet how firmly they are united together, so as never to be separated but by breaking them to pieces. One of those rattles singly, is incapable of producing sound, but the ringing of thirteen together, is sufficient to alarm the boldest man living.

The Rattle-Snake is solitary, and associates with her kind only when it is necessary for their preservation. In winter, the warmth of a number together will preserve their lives, while singly, they would probably perish. The power of fascination attributed to her, by a generous construction, may be understood to mean, that those who consider the liberty and blessings which America affords, and once come over to her, never afterwards leave her, but spend their lives with her. She strongly resembles America in this, that she is beautiful in youth and her beauty increaseth with her age, “her tongue also is blue and forked as the lightning, and her abode is among impenetrable rocks.”

An American Guesser

America did you know that you not only did not build that successful business, you also are not the parent of your children, at least according to the collective mindset of progressives and liberals like Barack Obama and MSNBC commentator Melissa Harris Perry. But before elaborating on this socialist/collective/communist concept lets understand the premise upon which liberals rely in promoting these ideas.

What is one of if not the single most consistent tactic used by any government or ruler to subjugate and transform a society or nation; indoctrination of the youth that includes distancing the child from the nuclear home and parents and substituting the home with the state?  Children are told of their importance to the state and that with them working collectively with the state that utopia can be achieved.

The clearest example and a recent one was Adolf Hitler. Hitler used youth to help his transformation of Germany. Children were indoctrinated to see the “state” as the supreme authority in their lives, not parents.  Other dictators used similar tactics in order to create a state that would foster and promote the goals of the state at the expense of individual freedom and the family.

During the 2008 presidential campaign Michelle Obama told an audience that for us to make a better world for our children we must change our history, our conversation and our traditions and that this was part of Barack Obama’s plan for America, our fundamental transformation.

Since his election Obama and his Administration has been systematically dismantling America. While much of our attention has been focused on issues like health care and the redistribution of wealth, secretly efforts were also underway to fundamentally transform the relationship between children and their parents. This is the change that Michelle spoke about. It is also the change advanced by former Vice President Al Gore when, in a meeting that parents were not allowed to attend, he told children that they were more important and smarter than their parents; clearly a tactic to help distance children from their parents.

Last week BQI ran a series of articles on two liberal progressive educational programs that are now expanding in both public and private schools. Common Core and C-Scope are programs that have as their core goals to fundamentally transform America’s educational system and by doing so, create children that will find socialism and communism to be more acceptable forms for society than capitalism. While these transformational efforts, thus far, have been undercover progressives are now secure enough in their belief that these programs and their transformational efforts have become so deeply rooted in America that they no longer feel the need to hide their intent.

Progressives have come out in the open now for all to see. In a recent promo MSNBC host Melissa Harris Perry excitedly said that children don’t belong to their parents; they are part of the “collective” which in effect is the “state”.  As anyone knows, in a socialist/communist/ collective society, at the expense of freedom and liberty, the state becomes the central authority and all policies and programs are centered on what is best for the collective or the state.

O.K., intellectuals, those brainless ones with the letters behind their names and of course all of the talking heads at MSNBC, will tell you that this promo with Melissa Harris Perry does not mean that parents should no longer be parents or that the state should take over parental roles. No, what they will tell us is what Obama has been preaching for the last four years and that is the notion that we only survive as a nation if we act and live as a collective. Obama says that we must have care and compassion for our fellow citizens and this is best shown or achieved by surrendering personal rights, privileges, wealth (tax the rich) and responsibilities and bestowing them to the “collective”. Collectivist believe that all power and resources should reside in the state (federal government) and that the state will manage the distribution of resources to the public in a manner that achieves fairness and that are in the best interest of the state. In doing this, the collectivist will say, we all win because we are all equal in enjoying the fruits of the state. Excuse me!

I believe men of much more intelligence and certainly of higher quality and morality told us and founded this great nation not on the communist/socialist notion of collectivism but on the idea of the individual; that people should have maximum freedom along with maximum personal responsibility. The Founders believed that the state’s role should be to protect these natural God given rights. However, America has allowed collectivist like Obama and Harris to sell the idea that there is greater success for the country when we surrender to the state our individual rights, freedoms and the ability to make decisions that are in our personal best interest and that of our family.

Socialist and communist are able to sale their flawed ideology to so many because it plays to the idea that self-interest somehow is bad; selfish. In reality it is self-interest, the God given desire to thrive and to survive, that propelled man from backwardness into the light. The problem with socialist/progressives and communist like Obama and Perry is that they do not believe in natural law (God), individualism and freedom although they spout these terms and would vehemently deny this allegation. They have what they consider a higher level of intellectualism which advocates that man, with infinite time and resources, can solve all problems. The required resources are the collective human output brought together, collectively, by government for their redistribution and the eventual good of all citizens. Therefore, it is Obama’s and Perry’s belief that to acknowledge God is to suggest that man lacks this ability to provide all answers and to meet all needs.

America is on a dangerous path and many refuse or fail to see the danger of Barack Obama’s fundamental transformation.  How much of a transformation, Glenn Beck tells the story below.

When I was a teenager I was a magician performing at birthday parties and before local clubs whose adults enjoyed legerdemain as much as the kids. The essence of magic is diversion, distracting the audience to watch the right hand while the left is setting up the illusion. It was a lesson I never forgot as I watch politicians divert attention from their actual agenda and right now President Obama is engaged in that as he goes around the nation asking for more gun control.

The killings in Colorado and at Sandy Hook school were committed by certifiably insane individuals. No background check can determine a person’s sanity. If seeking the advice and care of a psychiatrist and psychologist would disqualify a person from gun ownership than their privacy will have been invaded in ways prohibited by medical ethics and the constitutional right to privacy. Police cannot arrest anyone on the suspicion they’re nuts. The only protection against them is a sane armed gun-owner.

The right to self-defense is as old as mankind. All tyrannical governments seek to disarm their citizens. The Founders of America understood this. Thomas Jefferson said, “No free man shall ever been debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

It has become a cliché to say that Barack Obama has become the greatest gun salesman because, as noted in a December 2012 report by CNSnews.com, “Compared to the number of background checks completed from January through December of 2011, all but two states saw net increases in gun sales in 2012.” Background checks to ensure that those with criminal records are a good idea, but criminals or crazy people can always get their hands on a gun. The Sandy Hook murders were perpetrated by a lunatic using the legal guns purchased by his mother. She was his first victim.

“Washington, D.C. saw the largest year-to-year increase,” reported CNSnews.com, “with sales jumping 49.7%. Wisconsin followed with 45.5%, then New Jersey with 42.5%. New Hampshire with 40.9% and Rhode Island with 39.3%.  The largest increases occurred in Georgia, Oregon, New Hampshire, Texas and Montana.

In 2011 gun owners in America outnumbered hunters by 5 to 1. Hunters constitute only 15.9% to 18% of the estimate 70-80 million gun owners. Together they owned an estimated 300 million firearms, about 100 million of which were handguns.

That is one hell of a voting bloc!

The members of Congress know this. Writing in January, Wall Street Journal columnist, Kimberley A. Strassel, castigated “the elites” noting that the “one issue on which Congress still resoundingly agrees” is gun rights. The so-called debate over gun-control is led by the most elitist of all, Obama.

“On the other side,” wrote Strassel, “is the reality that any of these proposals must, in the normal course of things, pass Congress. A few quick facts about that body. (1) More than half of its members have an ‘A’ rating from the National Rifle Association. (2) The few members today calling for gun control are the same few who have always called for gun control. (3) The House is run by Republicans.”

“Even were the Senate to summon 60 votes (unlikely), and even if Mr. Boehner to risk the renewed wrath of his caucus by moving such a bill (crazy unlikely), any legislation would fall to members such as Virginia’s Bob Goodlate (who runs the Judiciary Committee) and Pete Sessions (who runs the Rules Committee). Mr. Goodlate is strong on gun rights. Mr. Sessions is from Texas.”

A new gun control law on top of the 1,100 that already exist is dead on arrival in Congress. Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, knows this. Even Obama knows this. So why is he going around the nation giving gun control speeches? It is the old magician’s trick of diversion and distraction. Gun control has no priority in a nation awash in debt, concerned about illegal immigration, and even threatened by the insane leader of North Korea.

“The more sweeping any gun proposals,” observed Ms. Strassel, “the more dead on arrival they will be in Congress. Mr. Obama might know that and be planning to take credit for going big while blaming failure on Congress. If so, he’ll have to beat on his own party.”

There are harsh, irresponsible and irrational gun control laws being passed in heavily liberal states, but they can and will be repealed in time as political control passes to legislators who get elected running against them. The Wall Street Journal reports that “This year, five states have passed seven laws that strengthen gun restrictions, while 10 states have passed 17 laws that weaken them, according to the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, which tracks and promotes gun-control-laws.

Nothing can be done to stop the crazies, but the vast numbers of gun owners are not crazy. They are, however, worried about a government showing signs of trying to take their guns away. Elections are a defense against such actions.

Many may recall the fallout from recent comments made by conservative, patriot and world renowned physician, Dr. Benjamin Carson. Dr. Carson’s comment, reflected in the picture above, sparked considerable discussion among conservatives and liberals alike. Conservatives praised the doctor for stating what almost all conservatives see on a daily basis and which forms an enormous amount of frustration because the racist liberals identified by Dr. Carson are immune, protected and lauded by other liberals and the mainstream media.

Liberals, of course, are offended that their good intentions could be seen by anyone or in any manner other than what the original intent was for their actions; to help the down trodden, dispossessed and the disenfranchised. They will also argue that they represent all of what is innocent, good and virtuous in America because their only mission in life is to help others even at the cost of some personal disadvantage or sacrifice.

Well, at least this is the picture that liberals feed to America through the media each and every day. The fact of the matter is that history shows that liberal actions; their policies, programs, laws, regulations and even their supposed tolerant  acts, do nothing to alleviate poverty, crime and reengage the dispossessed. No, literally everything that is advanced by liberals has the complete opposite of what they say is their original intent. In short, liberalism advances the dispossessed, poverty, crime and moral decay.  So why then do liberals continue to advance their agenda of progressivism and liberalism? I say because they are not only socialist but, perhaps more importantly they are racist. Their racism stems from their deeply held belief that they are holders of real morality and that their ideals and beliefs, based on their intellectual prowess, demands that they hold superior positions in society in order to fulfill their goals and beliefs for the less fortunate. While examples of this liberal narcissism can be found throughout our society there is no greater source of racism on display than on MSNBC,arguably led by their racist in chief, Chris Matthews.

I have long held the belief that Chris Matthews is a closet racist. Most of my belief is centered around my reading of him based on my “black sixth” sense; a defensive mechanism developed by many blacks to navigate certain challenges faced by minorities. One feature of the “sixth sense” in identifying closet racist is to look at what they say or better still, how they say it. Often liberal racist are a giveaway because of their vociferous, often bellicose reaction to others they deem to be racist. For example, Chris will often aggressively attack conservatives for the most simplistic and benign of comments. But Chris does not just attack the comments as racist (when in fact there clearly is no racism at all) he shouts it from the roof top at a pitch and fervor such that I sometimes fear Chris might pop a vein or two. Such vehement attacks on at worse a benign comment is telling.  Chris raises the comment to a level of sheer racism such that anyone listening would walk away thinking that the subject of Chris’s attack has to be Hitler or a grand wizard incarnate.

What Chris does not seem to understand is that most reasonable blacks recognize his shallow attempt to gain credibility and to hide his true cold black heart. The problem is that they won’t call Chris out because they like the narrative that Chris is building with his attacks. They, like me, use their “black sixth sense” to see Chris as an example of what Shakespeare wrote about when he said ‘doth protests too much”.  The difference, though, is that as a conservative I truly care about issues effecting blacks as well as all Americans. I therefore will not vilify or marginalize people who truly want answers regardless of which side of the political spectrum they might be on. I am therefore willing to call out racist people like Chris Matthews whose actions allow the perpetuation of poverty and disenfranchisement of the poor and minorities.

Like most liberals, Chris works hard to hide his racism.  Chris knows this is best achieved by deflecting attention away from his racism by routinely attacking conservatives and seizing on even the most innocent, benign statement and characterizing the statement as yet another example of the racist cold hardheartedness of conservatives. In doing this Chris successfully creates the narrative that conservatism equals racism. Never mind the fact that the guy who loves blacks so much seems to lack having a black friend; the one thing that would  give him the street-creds he covets so much.

For liberal whites, having a black friend  is the ultimate sign that you are who you profess to be; a tolerant, open minded, heartfelt liberal who loves blacks and minorities with a deep passion. The problem is that Chris has never identified his black friend (after this article I suspect very soon Chris will be bragging about his new black house guest who will be doing a sleep over ). One would certainly think that Chris has at least one black friend given the fact that he lives in the white bastion of liberalism which is Chevy Chase Maryland (sarcasm). We know Chris must have at least one black friend because Chris speaks with such passion for all black causes (racist vitriol). We know Chris must have at least one black friend because blacks have told Chris how much they love him, respect and appreciate what he does when he calls out white conservative racism (at least according to Chris ).

On his most recent rant on racism Chris called out conservative Rush Limbaugh.

What Chris was kind enough to do for the low information voter was to define “racism”. According to Chris, racism is defined as follows:

“Actually, Rushbo, racism is the belief that one race — whites — should rule all others,” Matthews confidently declared. “Get your definitions straight.”

Wow….now obviously we do not expect the compliant MSM to call Chris out on this. But, what Chris has done in providing such a definition is to further put his racism on display. Chris, like almost all liberals, has helped create a dependency mindset by blacks. The mindset is that blacks are victims and that only big government and “good liberals” can protect them from the evils of pesky bigoted conservatives who might want to “put them back in chains”(a non-racist, non-patronizing quote by our non-racist Vice President). For any intelligent black person such a statement like Matthew’s would or should be viewed as patronizing and beyond the pale.  To limit racism to whites is not only silly and racist it is more insidious because it feeds the dependency mindset by blacks which in turn allows racist, white and blacks like Chris, to rule over them. Blacks continue to be devastated under Obama’s policies. Yet, knowing this, Chris continues to further the liberal agenda accusing conservatives as the cause of black poverty and misery. Chris Matthews’ actions represent a total and complete indifference to the welfare of  people, blacks and the poor.  But there is more evidence of Chris’ unfettered racism. Here is what Anne Coulter had to say about “brother” Chris:

While living cheek-by-jowl with the nation’s capital, which happens to be a majority black city, Matthews’s kids managed to go to schools that are probably about 3 percent black. When Matthews had an opportunity to associate with blacks by sending his children to public schools, he chose not to. His obsession with race is all about self-congratulation. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons.”

The Tea Parties weren’t as white as Chris Matthews’s office. They weren’t as white as Matthews’s neighborhood or television audience. (It’s doubtful that even Eugene Robinson watches Hardball.)

This is New-York-Times-Charlie-Rose-PBS thinking. We’re not racist, they are. This pompous self-perception allows liberals to be offensively, self-righteously preening in the positions they take, such as demanding school busing for other people but sending their own kids to private schools.

If we attended a party at the Matthews home in Chevy Chase, Maryland, how many blacks would we see? Could we at least wave to the black neighbors? The New York Times write-up of his son’s wedding included a panoramic shot of the church, showing nearly a hundred guests. Not one of them is black.

A Republican saddled with the facts of Matthews’s life would be convicted of racism in five minutes.

No one is required to be a friend to someone else because it’s good for society, and people should be able to hire anyone they please. But you better have your own house in order if you’re going to run around accusing everyone else of racism based on a dearth of black associates. Newsbusters

Wow, I could not have said it better Anne; no really. Here Anne touches on the one area that white racist like Chris will always point to to prove their inclusiveness and acceptance of blacks; that some of their best friends are blacks.  However, in Chris’ case, Anne has made it a bit more difficult for him to utilize this ploy or tactic. A close look at Chris son’s wedding picture fails to reveal any black people in attendance. Now, for someone who so vehemently supports black causes; for someone who is so outspoken on all matters that might even remotely appear racist, when in fact they are not; here we have “brother” Chris proudly displaying a picture of the people most important in his life; a picture which is completely devoid of “people of color”.  Of course this could have been an oversight by Chris in preparing the wedding invitations. Or, perhaps, Chris’ best black friend(s) were unable to attend. There could be any number of reasons why no blacks were in attendance at Chris’ son’s wedding. I think the most plausible explanation is the fact that Chris has no “close” black friends; at least not close enough to be invited to a high level social event like his son’s wedding. For heaven sake, why taint things up and make his real friends feel uncomfortable having to sit and even eat with blacks. Chris would never put his friends in such a predicament.
