If nothing else, the election of Barack Obama as President of the United States of America has brought to our nation a significant coarsening and insensitivity to human life and some might add, debauchery and dehumanizing, in our nation. Without question, Obama has been one of the biggest proponents of same sex marriage, abortion of all types including partial birth, sex selection and even infanticide. Obama’s transformation of America has been so dramatic that staunch members of the cloth have had to recognize Obama’s coarsening of our society and came out against his advancement of such anti-Christian policies. The aftermath of Obama’s actions has to be an ever increasing de-sensitivity of Americans to life and the Judeo/Christian values that our nation was founded upon.
Likewise, Obama has expanded the reach of government into almost every aspect of American life and with this expansion comes a proportional loss of freedom and liberty for the individual. History has shown that when governments grow, personal liberties shrink as more and more of a citizen’s life becomes centered around and dictated by government; the individual gives way to the collective.
Below is a story from Great Britain and a short commentary. The English story shows in stark clarity where America is headed. With the implementation of Obamacare, the state will now decide in all cases who receives healthcare. America is about to see what Sarah Palin warned about; death panels.
The second piece is a commentary that describes America’s transformation to a collective society; the transformation that Obama promised to bring about.
I’m not easily grossed out or nauseated. Heck, I’m on email lists for a half-dozen softball teams and you can only imagine the strange/filthy/nasty things that guys send to each other.
But I read a story about the death panels in the United Kingdom that left me discombobulated. I can’t even begin to describe how I feel.
Here’s the intro of a disturbing report in the Daily Mail.
Sick children are being discharged from NHS hospitals to die at home or in hospices on controversial ‘death pathways’. Until now, end of life regime the Liverpool Care Pathway was thought to have involved only elderly and terminally-ill adults. But the Mail can reveal the practice of withdrawing food and fluid by tube is being used on young patients as well as severely disabled newborn babies.
And here are some of the horrifying details. Read at your own risk.
One doctor has admitted starving and dehydrating ten babies to death in the neonatal unit of one hospital alone. Writing in a leading medical journal, the physician revealed the process can take an average of ten days during which a baby becomes ‘smaller and shrunken’. The LCP – on which 130,000 elderly and terminally-ill adult patients die each year – is now the subject of an independent inquiry ordered by ministers. …Earlier this month, an un-named doctor wrote of the agony of watching the protracted deaths of babies. …‘I know, as they cannot, the unique horror of witnessing a child become smaller and shrunken, as the only route out of a life that has become

We are now told it’s selfish and greedy to promote freedom for the individual. It’s old-fashioned. It’s passe. It’s dangerous. It’s nothing more than a ruse floated by the rich to hold down the poor.
Forget about the fact that the next Einstein or Tesla, growing up in what has become a collectivist society, could be slammed with Ritalin, Prozac, and even heavier drugs—because they’re “abnormal.”
Some day, when America has been forgotten, an anthropologist will write a celebrated history of this country, and it’ll be all about cultural trends and group customs, and no one will even remember there was such an idea as The Individual.
By that time, the population of what was once the United States will live in a theocracy dedicated to Mother Earth, and every day for half an hour, the people will kneel and pray, together, from coast to coast, for mercy from this Mother.
And the people will be happy doing it—such as they understand happiness. They will glorify The Group. They will live under the great dome of the Flying Drones and they will rejoice in their solidarity.
